How to force Narrator reading selection without focus on selected item in UWP

Hi,

I develop custom UWP control. Lets call it ItemsControl (IC) which is not typical - the items are not focusable.

The AutomationPeer of the IC implements ISelectionProvider and its items' peers implement ISelectionItemProvider.

Typically, in a normal control if the items were focusable, selecting the focused item will make the Narrator reads "Item 5 , Selected" or "Non Selected".

However in my case, for performance reasons the items are light kind of textblocks and do not receive keyboard focus.

The peers fire UI Automation Selection events. What else can I do to force the narrator reading the Selection change ?
